Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck providing versatility and great height. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Standard lift trucks aren't able to move the cargo away from and towards the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally used in both agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is necessary.
A forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended in cases requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would normally use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is meant to lift staff is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
