The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been outfitted with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined places during construction and industrial jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were inaccessible by typical jibs before. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for precious time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing both productivity and effectiveness.
