In 1842, Inventor Jerome Increase Case founded Case within Racine. He began building threshing equipment. The company later gained worldwide recognition as the initial builder of steam engines for its agricultural application. By 1912, Case had become established in the construction machine industry. The quickly began to manufacture road building machines like graders and steam rollers.
