On the market nowadays, there is a wide array of articulating lifts, with various styles of lifts to fit each and every application, circumstance and work venue. There are some manufacturers who specify in lifts for hazardous atmospheres such as underground tunnel situations, petro-chemical plants, and other places where there is a risk of dust or explosive gases, for instance in grain-processing plants.



Several lifts have been mounted to big flatbed trucks or onto trailers or onto the back of a pick up truck. There are types of lifts that include articulating booms which can be self-propelled and are controlled by the lift operator, whereas others could pivot 360 degrees.



There are both outdoor and indoor lift models. They come in both 4-wheel and 2-wheel powered choices. In some situations, the platforms are adjustable and several models have baskets where the worker stands. These baskets or platforms are adjustable and allow the employees to swing into place or remain level, depending on what the operator must complete the task. There are some platforms and baskets which come wired in order to allow the operator to plug tools in as required.
