Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, ever since 1962. Every day the company strives to help all their customers reach their goals and deliver value because they know the bottom line is performance and dependability.
Boom lifts come in 2 general types, the straight boom lift and articulated boom lift. These units are normally hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the ideal alternative for tasks that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator is able to steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machine. These units come in gas, diesel or propane configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift models carry out tasks that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects within the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is necessary before operating boom lifts in order to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks that used to require many more man hours to be done in a much shorter time period. These machinery have greatly increased production and have revolutionized the material handling industry.
