Manitou Aerial Lifts Oakland

Manitou Aerial Lifts Oakland

Many workplace applications would require more reach than the regular job. The telescopic and articulating booms is a great alternative for these particular instances. Electric or engine powered or bi-energy booms are great for rough terrain, outdoor or indoor use, so technically, there is a suitable boom lift available for each and every type of task. Just take the time to figure out what kinds of capacities you will require to get the task done and what type of loads you will be dealing with.

Articulating booms are described as aerial work platforms which use many boom parts that hinge or articulate. These machines offer a maximum reach of 6.25 meters or 21 feet 5 inches to 21.26 meters or 69 feet 9 inches. These units can vary in height between 11.14 meters and 36 feet or 141 feet or 43.15 meters. Normally, articulated boom units are classified by horizontal reach and by platform height.

Articulating booms are often utilized to access work areas over obstacles and barriers including machinery or shelving. As opposed to telescopic booms, they have less horizontal outreach, the articulating booms provide better up and over positioning and greater versatility. This allows better access for overhead work areas from tight areas and from aisles. Throughout the variety of articulating booms, the majority of them can hold weight capacities of as much as 227 kilograms or 500 pounds. These equipment could easily raise 2 operators and their tools and sometimes extra supplies.

Like scissor lifts, the rough terrain and industrial articulating booms are often outfitted with non-marking tires and are intended for indoor operation. The majority of articulated boom manufacturers use clean burning fuels like for instance DC electric power or liquid propane gas or LPG for their industrial models. AC drive system technology is common in industrial forklifts, even though it is new to the aerial work platforms market. This technology combines DC batteries with 3-phase AC drive motors for more braking and drive speed, continuous control of turning and overall energy efficient operation.

Rough-terrain units are specifically designed to negotiate rugged construction site locations. With features like diesel engines, lug-tread tires, 4-wheel drive and an oscillating axle, these specialized things are common-place on rough-terrain articulating booms. These heavy-duty add-ons are what make these machines able to withstand the rough environments they operate in.
